According to the San Bernardino Sun Mr. Zamora was at Costco last night. However the comment was posted "anonymously", and there probably isn't any way to verify this.
Please send Zamora emails or letters. We have 3 votes we need 1 more. Write, write write!Amanda
IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER WHERE HE WAS, IT'S ALL ABOUT WHERE HE WASN'T. HE COULD HAVE MADE IT 4-3 BUT IF HE IS AS INTIMIDATED BY THE ALPHA MALE VP OF THE BOARD AS THE OTHERS WERE, AND SOME STILL ARE, THE 4-3 VOT WOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE WRONG SIDE STILL
Holy cow... how I wish I was at Costco last night.
I wasn't at Costco last night . . . I was at the school board meeting. However, I was at Costco this morning, wearing my "GRAND TERRACE HIGH SCHOOL" T-shirt, and I was approached and received supporting comments. Also, when I went to my vehicle (which has "GRAND TERRACE HIGH SCHOOL" written with windshield chalk, I discovered to my delight a note on the driver's window, supporting our high school renaming . . . from a Redlands resident. Go GTHS!!!!
we wish to everybody goodluck including us. somebody say if you have hard time go to church or pray so we doing both . hope its work for us. GO GTHS.
In reviewing Mr. Zamora's attendance record; of the last 27 regularly scheduled Board meetings, he's been absent 6 times (almost 30% of the meetings). At least half of those absences were "unexcused". He left after an hour at one other meeting, and had an unexcused absence from a special budget meeting. Mr. Zamora is retired from his job with the City of Colton, so it's obviously not a work related issue. Apparently he has many personal issues that are more pressing than his attendance at Board meetings. Or, maybe the dates he was absent coincide with fresh seafood nights at Costco?
My kids attend private schools in REdlands... and EVERYONE that knows we live in GT are sooooooupset about the name! They live in Arrowhead, yucaipa, Devore, Rialto... you name it...MANY, MANY people are incensed by this!
