{Meet the new Band Director}

Robert Ransdell is a product of the Colton Joint Unified School District and appreciates the opportunity to be able to return to and contribute to the community where he grew up. He graduated from Colton High School then received his Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, San Bernardino in Music Education.
Robert began his teaching career by returning to Terrace Hills Middle School in 2005 and has been there ever since.
He is also actively involved in several organizations such as the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association, the California Band Director's Association, and the San Bernardino County Music Educator's Association for whom he has served in a variety of positions and will be assuming the role of president in August of 2012.
Robert is very eager to begin building a successful music program that will represent GTHS and CJUSD in numerous performance venues. He is very involved in music programs throughout Southern California working with numerous high school band programs in various capacities for more than 10 years. He looks forward to taking the steps necessary that will help to create a Legacy of greatness in all aspects of life at GTHS.
