CJUSD teacher wrote...

A CJUSD teacher wrote on an online matter about the
New High School... and this teacher gave this advice...
***
DIRECT QUOTE BY TEACHER:
"Who do these board members think they are accountable to? How can they be so blind, deaf and dumb all at the same time? This smacks of the greatest hypocrisy yet (once again committed by a body of elected officials representing Colton) Apparently the level of stupidity that graces the Colton City Council is infectious, and our CJUSD have caught the disease. The cure will come with the next election, unfortunately, but that may be too late.
GT residents should contact the SB Superintendent, the SB County District Attorneys Office, and Congressman Jerry Lewis to seek an investigation into possible misconduct, improper influence, conflict of interest, and/or fraud by board members and Navarro. Under no circumstances should GT take this lying down."

That was a direct quote from an online news article about our New High School.
His/her words do not reflect the tone or nice factor everyone wants to have when dealing with
the bullies of the School Board... but it does show, how vehement, determined and utterly OUTRAGED even a EMPLOYEE of the CJUSD is!

I was in Redlands on Saturday, and I had no less than 3 people come up to me and ask me if I lived in Grand Terrace, and how I felt about the name of our New High School?
THESE PEOPLE LIVED IN Devore, Yucaipa, and Lake Arrowhead... they were sick about it!
They were outraged!
Believe me when I say... it isn't JUST US!
WE aren't WRONG for feeling this way!
WE aren't being petty!

The Colton School District website has a reason for naming the school Abril, on its front page.
While he obviously is a wonderful man, other websites I have read that know Mr. Abril, and know he is a good man, with good values, also know he would never agree to this type of
action by the School Board. I hope they are right. I hope he speaks up and
asks for his name to be removed, for the sheer fact that he wouldn't want it named
with so many problems, and an auditorium or gym or stadium would be better.
From what I have read... this is the type of man he is.
From their mouths to God's ears.
***
Mr. Abril... please know it is not YOU! ANY name other than Grand Terrace High School
would have been questioned.
THIS IS SOOOO NOT A PERSONAL ATTACK on Mr. Abril.
***
I don't think the School Board wants their jobs any longer.
They could have just stepped down and left it at that.
But to do this, to ensure they don't get re-elected is just going a bit overboard.

GRAND TERRACE HIGH SCHOOL
THERE JUST ISN'T ANOTHER NAME FOR IT!
